   How Does it Work ?
The field data is gathered utilising an Electronic Total Station cable of measuring distances to +/- 1mm (1/24”) sub-millimetre accuracy. The ETM can be tripod mounted or attached to any structural element within the facility in any configuration allowing easy movement through even the most congested of areas – without loss of accuracy.

The data collected from each survey is stored directly without the need for operator intervention – eliminating the potential for human error. Intelligent code assignment is tagged to each element of the survey, which is used by DIMES at a later stage for Automatic drawing routines.

The field survey data, using AutoCAD as its graphical engine, can then generate P&ID’s, General Arrangement drawings detailing the Interface tie-ins, potential clash points, existing steelwork, geometry of existing pipework and any inline items to be reused.
