Hi-Cad announces that it has been awarded additional work on BP’s massive OCC Project. Operation Canadian Crude, a nearly $4B expansion. The BP Whiting Refinery capacity will increase to allow the process of Canadian heavy crude. The reconfiguration of the refinery has the potential to increase the plant's production of motor fuels by around 15% or 1.7 million gallons of gasoline or diesel per day. The 1400-acre refinery will have capacity to process 405,000 bpd. The expansion will create 2500 construction jobs and 80 permanent positions. Hi-Cad is performing Dimensional Control Management, Laser Scanning and Survey Services to Fluor, Jacobs, DII and others as part of the three year contract.
